Wet and Slow NSIM

If you were there, you know what I’m talking about.  It was a wet and slow North Shore Marathon this year.  No course records broken this year, but many great finishes.  You can read up on things here:

Noteable finishes:

Kara Peterson once again posted the fastest women’s time, beating out all the Pro Open women and skated most of the race in a paceline of two.

Rayna Meyer skated Pro Open and stayed with those ladies, finishing 10th.  Rayna has been working very hard over the last two years and it’s really showing in her performance.  She told me last night that just 5 years ago she started in Wave 9 at the NSIM.

John Schulte finished 2nd in the Pro Vet category.  John is another great local skater whose hard work over the past two years is really paying off as evidenced in his top finishes this year.

If you are still up in Duluth, check out the Duluth-Tribune newspaper.  My husband, James Kauth, made the front page.  I’m waiting to get approval to post the picture here.
