NROC 10K at the John Rose Oval
Racing started a little late due to wet pavement, but with diligent work by the John Rose Oval crew and skater volunteers the track was dry and fast for the 1st NROC 10K event.
For the story of the races, see the inline planet coverage.
The best highlight of the races was Zack Stooplemoor, the 10 year old pictured below who hung with the Advanced, Pro Vet and Pro Grand Vet lead pack for the first half of the race then ended up finishing neck and neck with Adam Bradley and at the last minute pulled off a killer hawk. Wish we would have caught it on film, it was amazing! Comment overhead from spectator Ann VanBellinger: “Of course he can hawk, he’s so close to the ground already!”
