Oval Finally Open

Outdoor skating was completely and totally unsafe and an irresponsible threat to the existence of the human species yesterday, but it is fine today according to our overlords.  We love the leader.

Effective Friday, December 18, 2020- the Guidant John Rose Open will be open for public skating sessions on a limited capacity. Leisure skating & longblade/speedskating sessions available. All skaters MUST pre-purchase tickets.

OVAL PUBLIC SKATING RULES & REGULATIONS (COVID 19)

We are excited to be able to offer our community and the state of MN with skating options this winter during these unique and challenging times. Staff have worked hard to modify our operations in order to follow MN Department of Health (MDH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.

Please be aware there is risk of participating in any activity during the pandemic. We have worked hard to provide as safe as an environment as possible, but 100% mitigation cannot be guaranteed for any activity. Please review our PUBLIC SKATING RULES & REGULATIONS prior to participating in public skating at the OVAL.


OVAL PUBLIC SKATING RULES & REGULATIONS

Purchasing Tickets

  • Limited to 25 TOTAL skaters per public skating session, no walk-ups allowed
  • Everyone entering the OVAL is required to have a ticket, no spectators allowed
  • Offering two types of public skating sessions:
    • OVAL Public Skating- Leisure Sessions: NO sticks/pucks or training allowed
    • OVAL Public Skating- Speedskating: ONLY for longblades/speedskaters
  • Pre-Purchased tickets REQUIRED for all sessions; limited to 2 tickets per transaction/day
  • Tickets MUST be pre-purchased for specific public skating sessions ONLINE:
    • Please select specific date and time that you wish to attend public skating
    • Multiple tickets purchased, must all be used towards SAME session- limited to 2 tickets per person
    • If you want to purchase tickets for multiple dates/times- please do separate transactions
    • Skaters will receive email confirmation of ticket purchase- this confirmation should be shown to ticket window to retrieve skate passes during specific date and time as listed on your confirmation
  • Ticket booth will open 10 minutes before each scheduled session
  • Punch cards or passes will NOT be accepted during this time
  • ALL SALES ARE FINAL-NO REFUNDS FOR TICKETS NOT USED
  • In the event of cancellations due to inclement weather, tickets will be refunded

Skate Rentals

  • Skate rentals will be available for purchase onsite with credit card only
  • Skaters will enter OVAL lobby doors to retrieve their skates- ONLY 1 group allowed indoors at given time for skate rental
  • All skates will be sprayed with disinfectant before & after use

Facility Rules

  • MASKS REQUIRED throughout our facility, including: while outside waiting in line, when outside putting skates on/off and when inside our facility
  • All skaters will enter/exit OVAL through outside OVAL archway
  • Skaters ONLY allowed to enter facility for skate rental or restroom usage – masks REQUIRED
  • OVAL Lobby will NOT be available during  public skating sessions!
  • Skaters will use OUTSIDE bleacher area for putting skates on/off- masks REQUIRED to be worn outside when social distancing of 6ft is not be possible
  • Patrons should maintain 6 ft distance from others of a different household at all times
  • Skaters must leave the premises immediately following the end of their session
  • Concessions will NOT be available during 2020-2021 OVAL season
  • All personal items should be left & locked in vehicles- Roseville Skating Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen items

On Ice Rules

  • Entrance & Exit signs to indicate how to enter/exit ice
    • Enter ice through southeast gate; Exit ice through northeast gate
  • Masks are not required while skating outside- however, strongly encouraged
  • Please maintain 6ft social distancing while skating or when moving around the facility
  • ABSOLUTELY NO STICKS/PUCKS or TRAINING ALLOWED!

ALL OTHER ON-ICE OVAL RULES & REGULATIONS STILL APPLY DURING THE PANDEMIC.

Anyone not abiding by or following the rules & regulations listed above, will be reminded of the policies we have in place. If a patron continues to cause issues, you may be asked to leave the facility immediately.
