Canadian skaters finished 16th, 17th, and 18th, respectively, Ted-Jan Bloeman, Denny Morrison, and Antoine Gelinas-Beaulieu.

In the women’s event, it comes as little surprise that Japan’s Miho Takagi won, with Irene Wust finishing second.  Annouk van der Weijden of the Netherlands was third. Women compete in the 500, 1500, 3k, and 5k.
