The Minneapolis Greenway will be subject to temporary closures this spring and summer as the Cedar and Portland Avenue bridges, which cross the trail, are demolished and then rebuilt. Demolition will begin in April, but reconstruction dates do not appear to be set. Let’s hope the finished product doesn’t result in a narrowed or otherwise diminished trail. Hopefully the updates will prevent the moisture dripping onto the trail. For $4 Million per bridge they ought to be awfully shiny from all the gold they will be using.
