The Annual 4th of July skate will once again depart from Wayzata Beach at 7AM on the Dakota Rail Trail. It’s an out and back route with a water stop at the turnaround. Bikes are welcome for anyone that doesn’t want to skate.
Hours: 5:00 AM–10:00 PM
Length: 13 miles
This paved trail offers a spectacular view of Lake Minnetonka and follows the route of the former Dakota Rail Corridor through St. Bonifacius, Minnetrista, Mound, Spring Park, Minnetonka Beach, Orono and Wayzata.
In Carver County, an additional 12.5 miles of paved trail extends west of St. Bonifacius to Mayer.
Three Rivers Park District would like to remind trail users to please be sure and park in designated public parking areas. These parking areas include:
• Wayzata, 175 Grove Lane
• Mound, 5515 Lynwood Blvd.
• Gale Woods Farm
• St. Bonifacius, 4150 Bell St.
• Mayer, State Highway 25 and First Street Northwest
