How did you get into skating/racing? When I started it was an extension of my ice training. I was also looking for something similar to bicycle racing since training for that discipline took up such a large amount of time. Inline racing is very similar to a bike race on skates.
Who do you like to skate with during a race? The racing is getting much more exciting here in the Midwest with teams like Adams Inline, Bont North America, and Flanders. I like working with our team, Aloe-Up. We are getting better at race strategy and working as a team. Now we just need to get in better shape!
What advice would you give for someone just getting into inline racing? Don’t worry about results and if there is someone in front of you try and chase them down!
Anything else? My family and I have just recently relocated to Minnesota. Some of the main reasons that brought us here were: the inline skating community, the easy access to racing, and the trails to skate on.
