Description
I started inline skating in the late 70's on Ole's Innovative Sports (Scott Olson) frames and wheels mounted to a pair of old hockey boots. This was for dry-land training when I played D-3 hockey for St. Olaf. Later, I graduated to an all-plastic hockey-type Ole's Innnovative Sports boot. I skated mostly casual rec until the mid 90s when I bought a pair of Miller Sport leather speed boots and frames. I did "casual" speed for about a decade. After I did my first marathon on the Miller skates at St. Paul in 2005... I had to upgrade to better equipment at NSIM that same year. I've been hooked ever since. My loving wife says my skating is a mid-life crisis. I tell her the crisis could be a lot worse, so, she recognizes that and puts up with it; bless her heart. Good skating. John Scott Schulte
